“Milk, it does a body good.” Does it? Milk IS the base of dairy products, but is it good for you?
So, I just read this article the other day and I need to research more about it. I mean, if it’s true, that’s pretty disgusting. Actually, even if it’s NOT true, it’s still pretty disgusting. Personally, I am not a fan of milk and I don’t drink it. As a chef-in-training, I of course use dairy products; but the thought of drinking it makes me ill.
I’m not a scientist nor a doctor so I can’t say for sure. I can tell you what I’ve heard, read, and “know” about milk. It’s illegal to drink raw, it is stripped of vitamins during the pasteurization process and then reloaded with vitamins, or as they like to say: “fortified.”
How do you like them cookies?
According to the article, the author states milk contains growth hormones, feces, and some antibiotics. All meant for calves, not humans. She continues stating milk has an “alarming amount of pus.” PUS! It doesn’t indicate the amount; but really, is there any amount that is acceptable? I would be interested in knowing the amount and it’s percentages.
I suppose the question is, does the article bring valid points? Are the health benefits really not as important as we are told? Read the article for yourself. Let me know what your thoughts are on consuming milk and other dairy products.
A milk-mustache might not be so cute after all. Turns out your doctor may be wrong about milk.
